About
I am pretty open on Instagram, but some personal pieces of my mothering make me emotional because I am truly living it right now. I don't know about you but being vulnerable and open seems like a thing to do in a more intimate setting. We're in the middle of weaning our second daughter. I went from waking every two hours to nurse for years to now only two very specific nursing sessions a day (on my way to just one). I wanted a place to talk about it openly, without the highlight-reel filter, so I recorded four short episodes documenting exactly where I am in this season. Not because it is perfect, not to show it off, more to remove any mask and show the confusing, hard, emotional, sometimes ridiculous parts of weaning a toddler. Note: This is not a "program" or a "challenge" (even though Wix is telling you it is) it's just where the episodes live. Episode list: Episode 1: Yes, I gave her juice boxes, ask me more Episode 2: Gets into the big feelings (hers and mine) Episode 3: Is the practical side: how I'm actually thinking through which feed to drop next, and why. This isn't a how-to. I'm not handing you a step-by-step plan or telling you what's "right." I'm letting you into a season of my own parenting that's messy, tender, and still unfolding, the kind of thing I'd usually only tell a close friend. If you've ever felt weird, sad, relieved, guilty, or all of it at once about weaning your own baby, I think you'll feel less alone after listening. If you have a baby that is 9months or older, and have wondered about weaning. I also have an online course called, 'Weaning Curious'
